These Terms & Conditions govern your use of [www.shaecandles.com](http://www.shaecandles.com) and purchases made through the website. By accessing the website or placing an order, you agree to these terms.

PRODUCTS

SHAE creates hand poured home fragrance products, including soy wax candles, reed diffusers, room sprays and gifting collections.

Many of our candle jars and decorative components are handcrafted. Slight variations in colour, texture, pattern, dimensions and finish are natural characteristics of handcrafted products and are not considered defects.

Similarly, slight variations between batches may occur as a result of the hand poured production process.

We make every reasonable effort to display our products accurately. However, colours may appear differently depending on photography, lighting and individual screen settings.

FRAGRANCE

Fragrance is inherently subjective. Individual perception of fragrance notes, strength and throw can vary depending on personal preference, room size, ventilation, temperature and other environmental factors.

Our fragrance descriptions are intended to help you understand the general character and composition of a scent and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of individual fragrance perception.

A dislike of or personal preference regarding a fragrance does not qualify a product for return or refund.

ORDERS

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability.

Once an order has been placed, you will receive an order confirmation at the email address or contact details provided during checkout.

SHAE reserves the right to decline or cancel an order in circumstances including incorrect pricing, stock unavailability, suspected fraudulent activity, payment failure or an address that cannot be serviced by our delivery partners.

Where payment has already been received for an order cancelled by SHAE, the applicable amount will be refunded to the original payment method.

PRICING AND PAYMENT

Prices displayed on the website are in Indian Rupees unless stated otherwise and are inclusive of applicable taxes.

Shipping charges are additional and are calculated at checkout based on the delivery location.

Payment must be completed using one of the payment methods available at checkout.

Cash on Delivery is not available.

As SHAE products are hand poured and several products are made, finished or prepared specifically against confirmed orders, production begins only after successful payment.

CANCELLATIONS AND CHANGES

If you need to request a change or cancellation, please contact us as soon as possible after placing your order.

Once an order has entered production, customisation, packing or dispatch, it may no longer be possible to modify or cancel it.

Customised, personalised, bulk and gifting orders cannot be cancelled once production has commenced.

SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

Shipping charges and estimated delivery timelines are set out in our Shipping & Returns Policy.

Delivery timelines are estimates and may occasionally be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including courier delays, weather, public holidays, regional restrictions and other disruptions.

Please ensure that your delivery address and contact details are complete and accurate when placing your order.

SHAE is not responsible for delays or additional shipping costs arising from incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the customer.

RETURNS, DAMAGES AND REFUNDS

Because SHAE products are hand poured and, in many cases, prepared specifically against an order, we do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind, fragrance preference or minor variations inherent to handcrafted products.

If an order arrives damaged in transit, the claim must be reported to SHAE within 48 hours of delivery.

For damage in transit claims, a continuous unboxing video showing the sealed package being opened and clearly showing the damaged product is compulsory.

Claims submitted without an unboxing video will not be eligible under SHAE's transit damage claim process.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to restrict any right or remedy available to a consumer under applicable law.

CUSTOM, BULK AND GIFTING ORDERS

Corporate gifting, wedding favours, event gifting, customised products and bulk orders may be subject to separate pricing, production timelines, minimum quantities and payment terms.

Where separate commercial terms are agreed in writing for such an order, those terms will apply in addition to these Terms & Conditions.

PRODUCT SAFETY

Candles involve an open flame and must always be used responsibly.

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep candles away from children, pets, flammable materials, draughts and heat sensitive surfaces.

Follow the care and safety instructions supplied with the product.

SHAE cannot be held responsible for damage or injury resulting from misuse, failure to follow product instructions or use contrary to reasonable safety precautions, subject always to applicable law.

Room sprays and diffuser liquids should not be ingested or applied to the skin unless expressly stated otherwise. Keep them away from children, pets, flames and heat sources.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content appearing on this website, including the SHAE name, logo, product names, fragrance names, photographs, graphics, packaging, written content, designs and other creative material, is owned by or licensed to SHAE unless otherwise stated.

Such content may not be copied, reproduced, modified, distributed or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission.

WEBSITE USE

You agree not to misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with its operation, introduce malicious software, conduct fraudulent transactions or use website content in violation of applicable law or SHAE's intellectual property rights.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the extent permitted by applicable law, SHAE will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of this website or its products.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

GOVERNING LAW

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India.

Subject to applicable consumer protection laws and other mandatory jurisdictional requirements, disputes arising in connection with the website or purchases made through it shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
